How Block Letters Work

Each letter is drawn on a 5 × 7 grid. The tool fills the "on" squares with your character and the "off" squares with a space, then stacks 7 lines. The result is plain text, so it pastes into Discord, Slack and comments.

Why do my big letters look broken?

Big text needs equal-width characters, and proportional fonts squeeze the spaces. Paste it inside a code block, or use an emoji background such as ⬜.

What is the difference between big text and wide text?

How many characters does big text use?

Each block letter uses about 40 characters, so a 3-letter word is over 130. The size calculator above counts your exact banner.

Can I post big text on X?

Only 1 or 2 block letters fit in 280 characters, and emoji fills count double. Single-line letters such as 🅱🅸🅶 fit better.

How do I make big text in Discord?

Copy the banner, type ``` in Discord, paste, and close with ```. The code block keeps every column in line.

Can I make big text with emoji?
