How the image generators work

Each tool draws your text on an HTML canvas in your browser with a free Google Font (SIL Open Font License). Nothing uploads to a server, and the PNG downloads straight from your browser with a transparent background where you choose it.

Image text vs. copy-and-paste text

Copy-and-paste fancy text stays editable and searchable in apps. Image text looks exactly the same everywhere but cannot be edited after you post it. Use images for logos, thumbnails and stickers.

Can I use the PNG images commercially?

Yes, the fonts are open-licensed and the images you make are yours. Check trademark rules before you use a design as a company logo.

Why is the background checkered?

The checkered pattern shows transparency; it is not part of the PNG. Pick a background color in the panel if you want a solid one.
